Reason 1: The e-liquid is empty

Your Vuse GO or rechargeable vape will taste burnt if, for example, the liquid has been used up. If you vape with an almost empty pod, the heating coil can run dry, which has a negative effect on the flavour. It is therefore important to check the fill level of your pod regularly and replace it in good time before it is completely empty. What to do when your disposable vape tastes burnt? Reason 2: The liquid was stored incorrectly

Have you changed your pod, but the rechargeable vape still tastes burnt? You may have stored it too warm or too cold. Strong temperature fluctuations can affect the shelf life of the ingredients in the e-liquid. Direct UV radiation accelerates chemical reactions, which can change the flavour. If the liquid becomes too cold, it can become viscous and lead to reflow problems. In this case, not enough liquid reaches the wick, which can make the vape pod taste burnt. It is therefore best to store e-cigarettes and liquid at room temperature.

Reason 3: You’re using the wrong puffing technique

Proper vaping requires some practice. If you are enjoying your liquid and wondering why your vape tastes bad or weird, it could be due to an incorrect puffing technique. Too high a voltage or power level can overheat the heating coil, causing the liquid to vaporise faster than it can flow. This leads to a dry draw, which makes the vape or Vuse Pod taste burnt. Even when used correctly, the heating coil of your device will wear out over time. This happens especially with rechargeable e-cigarettes that are used frequently and over a long period of time. The performance of the coil decreases, which can lead to your rechargeable vape tasting burnt. For an optimal vaping experience, you should change your pods regularly. At the end of their lifespan, it is important to dispose of your e-cigarette properly: that means not in the residual waste! Return them free of charge to points of sale or SENS collection points, for example.

Reason 5: You vape immediately with an open system 

If your vape has an open system, you should make sure that the wick in the vaporiser absorbs the liquid properly. Therefore, do not start vaping immediately after filling. If the wick is still dry, it can burn when heated, causing the vape to taste weird. Wait 5 to 10 minutes until the liquid is completely distributed in the vaporiser. Alternatively, you can add a drop of liquid directly to the wick when filling it for the first time so that it is saturated more quickly and you can enjoy a flavourful vape.

Reason 6: The mouthpiece is dirty
