MUST KNOW TIPS TO MAINTAIN YOUR DEVICE

Now you’ve found the best device for you and your favourite flavour, what’s left? Knowing how to properly clean your vape device and maintaining your vape battery, of course.

We’re going to walk you through our best tips to maintaining your device — from making sure you know how to clean it, to understanding how to preserve your vape pen battery, and when and how to use your vape pen charging cable most effectively. Let’s get going.

SO, WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO KNOW HOW TO CLEAN A VAPE PEN?

Cleaning and maintaining your vape properly can impact the performance quality and lengthen the life of your device. With frequent use, vape pens can become clogged and filled with debris. Giving your vape device a good clean will keep it working to its full potential and ensure it carries on delivering quality vapour.

HOW TO CLEAN A VAPE DEVICE

All of our devices are designed to be user friendly, and there’s not a great deal you need to do to keep them in tip-top condition. How often you clean your vape should depend on how often you vape. For more frequent vapers, we suggest cleaning your device around once a week. Once you get into the habit of cleaning, it will soon become easier and a part of your routine.

There are two types of vaping devices: closed-system devices and open-system devices. Closed-system devices are so-called because they operate with closed, pre-filled, plug-and-play cartridges or pods, so users don’t have to worry about filling anything up themselves like with the Vuse ePen and Pod.

In open-systems devices, users fill the clearomisers themselves, and can change parts of the device from time to time.

We wanted to give our users the easiest maintenance solutions which is one of the best features of our closed systems. Other brands with open-system devices require more maintenance, so remember these simple steps when caring for your open-system device.

HOW TO CLEAN YOUR VAPE MOUTHPIECE

Whether you’re lounging at home or out and about, there’s an easy way to protect the hygiene and cleanliness of your Pod device. Our reusable pod caps provide a solution to protect your pods from unwanted dust and debris. But it’s always a good idea to keep your pockets or surfaces nice and clean!

For closed system users, you don’t have to worry too much about cleaning mouthpieces as with every new pod inserted, you essentially get a brand-new mouthpiece. For the open system users out there, the mouthpiece of your device is easy to maintain. All you need to do is clean it every now and then to make sure you’re getting the most out of your vaping experience. To do this, first make sure the device is cold, then remove the tip and blow through it. Finally, give it a brush with a clean cotton bud or cloth.

hOW TO MAINTAIN YOUR VAPE BATTERY

Dirt can gather on the terminal of the battery unit, preventing it from passing charge to the clearomiser or pod. Giving it a wipe with a dry clean cotton bud or piece of cloth once a month can help prevent this.

The key to maintaining a longer life for your vape pen device is to charge it properly. The best way to charge your vape pen battery is to make sure you do so before the charge completely drains out. One additional tip is to charge your vape battery when its charge is halfway. Read more on how to maintain your vape battery with our guide.

DON’T LEAVE YOUR VAPE JUST ANYWHERE

Store your device at room temperature, as extreme temperatures can cause damage to its more intricate components. Not only will it help your battery, but it’ll also ensure the e-liquid in your pods stays fresh and gives you the satisfaction you’re looking for. As a rule of thumb, store your vape device between 0 and 25°C. And make sure you don’t leave your device in direct sunlight (or in front of direct sources of heat for that matter)
This goes for your pods and vape juice bottles as well – left in direct sunlight, they could start to oxidize and lose their flavour.

You definitely don’t want to leave it somewhere damp. Electronics and water aren’t the best of friends, so it’s best to avoid leaving your device (or using it) in excessively humid environments.

We hope that you find these tips for maintaining your vape device useful. If you already have an open-system device but aren’t into all the maintenance, you might want to give one of our Vuse closed-systems a try.
