E-CIGARETTE GUIDE FOR BEGINNERS

Share this post:

Are you new to vaping? You may be excited about which flavour to try first, the new experience of being able to vape indoors, or the excitement of discovering a new technology. There’s a lot to get to grips with for a vaping beginner.

Once you’ve decided to start vaping, you’re likely to have a lot of questions. We have created this Beginners Guide to Vaping to help.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BUY TO START VAPING?

Vaping can be seen as buying a new tech gadget. Some people may be intimidated when buying their device, feeling uncertain with all the unfamiliar components and lingo. We’re helping you decode some of these so that you feel a little easier.

To start vaping with Vuse, you will need two things: a vaping device and a flavour pod. Closed system devices, like our ePod and ePen devices, make starting your vaping journey simple. The eLiquid is contained in a 'pod' that is slides into the device. To activate the device just pull your first puff. Changing flavours by swapping out pods.

YOU HAVE YOUR STARTER KIT, WHAT’S NEXT?

YOUR FIRST FEW VAPES

If you’ve only smoked cigarettes before, your first few puffs might be a surprise. With cigarettes, you just take a quick puff but with vaping, you can inhale for a lot longer, although there’s no need to. You’ll still get satisfaction from shorter puffs. If you’re new to vaping, starting with smaller, shorter, faster puffs with at least a 20 second intervals can help you get used to the sensation.

VAPING DAY 1

HOW LONG WILL THE BATTERY LAST?

A big difference between vapes and cigarettes is the battery. You may wonder how long can a fully charged device last? Can you go out with it, or will the battery run out? Well, A fully charged ePod may last a full day, based on average usage. If you are going to be out and about for extended periods or are just worried about your battery running out of juice, Vuse has portable chargers that you can carry with you.

HOW LONG WILL THE ELIQUID LAST?

This is totally down to you and your personal consumption. Our ePods hold around 275 puffs each and the ePen holds around 200 puffs per pod. Keep an eye on your e-liquid levels so you don’t vape on an empty pod. When you see that you’re running low you can always place an order from Vuse.com/za or visit a Vuse Inspiration store.

FIRST FEW DAYS FOR VAPING BEGINNERS

Your first few days will be about figuring out when and how often you vape. Many people find that the rhythm of ‘smoking breaks’ still works for them. Others prefer to graze, taking occasional vapes throughout the day.

You will quite quickly get into a routine of what works for you, how many pods you expect to get through and the flavours you prefer to vape! Now that you know what to expect, you might find our blog post our on maintaining your vaping device useful.
