How does the program work:
- Drop off your full collection bags in one of our drop-off stations in Vuse stores or participating vape shops.

- Manual separation and dismantling is performed to prepare for shredding; mixed commodities are collected such as plastic, aluminum, circuit boards, batteries and nicotine chambers.
- The lithium battery is dismantled, collected, and stored for the process and later separated for the downstream recycler. The downstream processor uses a hydrometallurgical process to recover the main materials from the lithium battery. Some elements such as aluminum casings or copper foils, are separated from the battery, and separately recovered by a smelter.
- The collected metal is sent to the smelter where it is transformed into raw material for the manufacture of new products.
- The plastic from the nicotine chambers is incinerated and converted into energy. This means combusting all the waste that could potentially end up in a landfill and converting it into steam for electricity production.
- The collected e-Liquid is blended with flammable fluids and sent to a cement plant where it is used as fuel in cement production.
